Abrusco is one of the rarest native grape varieties in Tuscany.

Today, less than 6 hectares remain under cultivation. It is rare to find it vinified on its own. To make it well is even rarer.

I chose this bottle because it represents what I am looking for: identity, territory, character.

The wine

Important structure, deep color, intense spicy aromas.

A bold but balanced red that does not seek to please everyone.

It is a wine that speaks of the land and courageous choices.

Vinification and aging

Temperature-controlled fermentation with 7 days of maceration on the skins.

Long aging: 36 months in French oak barriques and 6 months in bottle.
