A Fortiori is a 100% Nebbiolo Umbria IGP born in the heart of the region from a vineyard recovery project by the La Spina winery. A wine that revives a historic tradition linked to the period of Italian Unification, when this noble grape variety was introduced to Umbria by officers of the Savoy Kingdom.

The result is an elegant, structured, and highly distinctive wine: an Umbrian interpretation of one of Italy’s most prestigious grape varieties.

🌿 Vineyard & terroir
The grapes come from Guyot-trained vineyards on clay-loam soils rich in limestone, ideal for expressing structure and elegance.

🏗 Vinification & aging
Fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature (26–28°C).
Aged for about 12 months in oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months in bottle.
